Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has tasted success for more than four decades, revealed all that glitters is not gold.

The 72-year-old actor shared the challenges a celebrity faces throughout his career. He believes that sometimes a person ends up being 'insecure' and 'isolated' as "repercussions or pressures" affect his career.

Big B took to his official blog to pen down his feelings. "Celebrity is an insecure, vulnerable and utterly isolated individual; they shall agree because of repercussions or pressures that may upset the flow of one career one opportunity and so they do," he wrote.

The pressure he writes about is the constant effort of a celebrity to be in the news. "But the need to attend such is also challenged by them; that need to be recognised, need for their mission to be acknowledged, to be seen in the media, to be talked about," he further wrote.

"But this can effectively happen when they get noticed with someone who shall be talked about. Irrespective of the real reason they have been called out to do. The celebrity then is the obvious choice," he added.
