An annoyed Bachchan immediately cleared all misconceptions on Twitter and sent a warning to the hacker.

It appears that Bollywood’s living legend got a bit of a surprise when he checked his 'following' list on Twitter. Turns out Big B's Twitter account had been hacked and some offending accounts were followed from his account.

He immediately took to the microblogging site to clear any misconceptions and warned the hacker not repeat such offences. He mentioned in his tweet that the hacker marked “sex sites” as 'following' and that he should go and try someone else as he doesn’t need this:


It is still unclear what led to this specific incident or if Amitabh's account was actually hacked or not but a quick check of 984 accounts followed by Big B on Twitter indicate that the offending accounts which Bachchan regards as "sex sites" have since been unfollowed.

However, there is another theory behind this; it can also be a result of certain applications which are granted access by users to their Twitter accounts.

Turns out it's not only social media which the superstar needs to manage, he has been receiving unpleasant messages for a year now:


Whatever the outcome, one thing is for sure, if the culprit gets caught he won't be having a celebrity moment when he meets the Bollywood megastar.

Social media plays an integral role in Big B's like, he regularly uses the platform to stay connected to his fans, whom he fondly calls his “extended family”.
