LAHORE: Prerto, the second jewellery brand to make its way into Pakistan from across the border, is running popular among Karachi’s fashion circle. The brand made its foray into the country this month and social media has already flooded with pieces the Indian design house has to offer. The jewellery line boasts a star-studded clientele, including Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor.

Fatima Ahmed, who has been stocking the jewellery in Karachi and is set to exhibit in Karachi come September, gets new supplies every week. She has a number of Prerto pieces in stock and can acquire the rest on request. “Prerto has established a great reputation for itself worldwide over the past few years,” Fatima told The Express Tribune. “I personally love the collections as each piece is unique. I travel a lot so am exposed to brands all over the world and Prerto really stands out,” she added.

The collection currently includes statement necklaces, headgear, earrings and hand harnesses. Of the brand’s aesthetics, Fatima shared, “It’s a great blend of Eastern and Western designs and can be worn with all sorts of outfits.” She felt there was a need for good quality statement jewellery at affordable prices in Pakistan.

The brand sells its offerings across the world through their website and, more recently, via high-end stores, including Pernia’s Pop Up Shop. Prerto, under Fatima Ahmed, recently teamed up with Tena Durrani for a shoot and with Rabia Butt as the model. The price range is between Rs3,600 and Rs25,000, which is significantly less than Outhouse, the other Indian jewellery brand selling in Pakistan. Fatima is currently taking orders via phone and email.
