Double murder: Murderer executed in Karachi jail

KARACHI: A death row prisoner, Shahid Mehmood, convicted for murdering the wife of a traffic police official and their nine-year-old child during a robbery bid, was executed at Karachi Central Jail early on Wednesday. Mehmood had killed the woman and the child in December 1998 along with an accomplice, Muhammad Khan, when they barged into the house of a policeman in the Old City area.
