Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a woman and her accomplices, saying they had been involved in the killing of her husband.
Pir Mehal SHO Khalid Tayyab Ali said Asghar Ali, a resident of Chak 665/6-GB, had moved a missing person’s complaint for his brother Ghulam Rasool, who he said had been missing for two weeks.
The SHO said Ali nominated his sister-in-law and her relatives Waseem, Mohsin, Fayyaz, Adnan and Aamir as suspects.
He said the complainant told to police that his brother had married his wife 17 years ago.
The SHO said Kamalia police had registered the case on August 18 and had detained the woman and her accomplices.
“During interrogation, she confessed that her accomplices had killed her husband a month ago and thrown his body in a well,” the SHO said.
He said a police team had been dispatched to recover the body.
