PESHAWAR:
A police constable was dismissed while another was suspended after locals filed complaints against them in the city. Mushtaq submitted an application saying constable Khan Muhammad had taken Rs0.2 million from him and promised him a job which he never got despite 15 months going by. During the course of enquiry, the charges were proved correct and Muhammad was fired from service. On the other hand, Haider complained to the IGP that Constable Mukammal Shah had taken away two mobile phones worth Rs50,000 during checking at the time of local government polls.
