Making changes: Sindh govt appoints public prosecutors
Following the law and order meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Karachi, the Sindh government appointed advocate Muhammad Khan Buriro and advocate Mubashir Hussain Mirza as special public prosecutors in crime FIR number 195/2015 U/S 324, 302, 427, 309 PPC R/W section seven ATA PS Sachal, Karachi, (Safoora Goth incident) to defend the case before the anti-terrorism court. Sindh government home department issued a notification in this regard on the recommendation of Sindh IG. Rangers director-general expressed concern over weak the prosecution system in Sindh and asked to appoint competent officers to pursue the cases.
