Under fire: ASI shot in Chamkani

The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack

PESHAWAR: An ASI was critically injured while his driver was killed when unidentified people opened fire on their vehicle in Yasinabad on Tuesday night. A police official told The Express Tribune ASI Hussain Khan of Yakatoot police was on his way home after duty when the incident occurred. “Akhtar Khan, his driver, died on the spot while Hussain was wounded. Although he has no enemies, it seems like he was targeted.” The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack.
