Crisis averted: Rocket shell defused in Swat

MINGORA: A rocket shell was defused by bomb disposal unit (BDU) officials in Odigram area of Swat district on Tuesday. Faisal Khan, an official of Rahimabad police, told The Express Tribune, the incident occurred on the outskirts of Mingora where a passer-by spotted a shell in a brook. He informed the police and the BDU was called in to defuse the rocket shell. “According to BDU officials, the shell was rusty and was thrown in the brook long time ago by unidentified militants,” he said. “Fortunately, they managed to defuse the device.”
