Finding a way out: Former officials go to court against NAB
The petitioners claimed that NAB has already taken the entire official record of these years into custody
HYDERABAD:
Two former directors-general of the Hyderabad Development Authority have pleaded the Sindh High Court (SHC) to protect them from the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) alleged harassment. The SHC granted protective bails to both the former DGs, Ghulam Muhammad Qaimkhani and Iqbal Memon, against a surety of Rs500,000 each till September 15. In their petitions, Qaimkhani and Memon alleged that NAB officials were harassing them and trying to implicate them in references. Qaimkhani remained the DG from 2011 to early 2014 while Memon served from March 2014 to March 2015. The petitioners claimed that NAB has already taken the entire official record of these years into custody.
