Munni finally meets her Bajrangi -- Bollywood superstar Salman Khan talks to Geeta for the first time via Indian show The Buck Stops Here.

"I would first like to thank Bilquis bibi for taking care of this girl for so many years," said Salman on the NDTV show.

"She looks so good, it's like you took care of her like your own child. We just hope that when she comes back she receives just as much love from her parents," he added.

When he asked Bilquis bibi why she would return her child to India, Geeta explained in sign language that she herself wanted to fly home because she is nothing in Pakistan, a statement which left Salman confused and bewildered.

"They housed you since such a young age, took care of you like their own and yet you're not happy. Why?" he questioned.

Her reply was simply because she wanted to go home.

Having seen the superstar's recent film Bajrangi Bhaijaan twice, the 23-year-old promptly replied that if she were not sent home through a plane she'll tell Salman to take her home on his shoulders.

She said her mother was very dear to her and she wished to return to her. The actor questioned whether she found out anything about her mother, upon which the young girl broke down in tears. Unfortunately, there have been no news of her parents.

Reportedly, four families have come forward, but Geeta claims not to know them. She believes that while her family may not be able to recognise her, she, however will be able to recognise them because she remembers their faces.

People stepping forward insisting that Geeta is their daughter could be because of the fact that money has been allotted to reunite Geeta with her family. But Faisal Edhi explained the reason behind this:

"The money is for her marriage and to take care of her once she reunites with her family," he clarified.

Salman Khan vehemently disagreed saying that people might take it the wrong way and after having done so much for the little girl, this was not needed, it could have also been done after she found her real family.

Although a Hindu, Geeta prays five times a day, keeps all her fasts: "Ram ko bhi razi rakhti thi aur Raheem ko bhi," explained Bilquis Bano.

Salman jumped in and expressed his gratitude once again to Edhi Foundation for raising the girl. "Hopefully she will find her parents, but what you have done for her all these years is truly amazing," said the actor.

For Salman, the 14 years of love and care that Edhi Foundation provided the young girl are unparalleled and he gave his honest advice and opinion to her.

"If I were in your place Geeta, I would have never wanted to return," he said, to which the show host immediately agreed.

But Geeta said her heart was dead set on going back to India, whether she found her parents or not. She desperately wants to be 'home'.

Efforts are in full bloom to look for the girl's parents, Indian government has taken over the case and is trying to track down Geeta's family so she can be reunited with her loved ones once and for all.

And as always, Salman's fans were all over Twitter praising the megastar:

Vishnu Gandhi | 8 years ago | Reply She may regret returning to India as after spending so much time away there will not be much connection left with real family and she will miss those people with whom she has spent her prime time. This is true for all human being.
Brar | 8 years ago | Reply @Ridwan: Religion can not be the basis for state had it been so there would have been one Muslim state not 56, 57 and one christian state in the world. As regards Muslims can not live peacefully with Hindus, Sikhs is also not correct even today Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians co exist in both countries as regards can not live peacefully the Muslims can live peacefully even with Muslims, Sunni, Shia, Ahmadi can they live peacefully the answer is big NO. Our ancestors have been living peacefully but after creation of Pakistan we have four wars killed so many innocent people. Think again.
