Under fire: Passenger bus attacked in Buner

The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Dagar

BUNER: Unidentified assailants attacked a passenger bus in Buner, killing at least five people on the spot and leaving five others, including a minor, injured. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Gul Bandai police station. According to details, passengers were travelling from Nask Martung in Shangla to a wedding in Karachi when a group of attackers ambushed the vehicle. According to the SHO of Bakht Farid police station, one of the passengers fired back at the assailants. One of the attackers was killed while the rest managed to escape. The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Dagar. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives in Nask Martung and subsequently laid to rest.
