During the 22nd Ministerial Meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said, "Pakistan pursues a policy of good neighbourly relations."

"Our valiant forces are successfully demolishing the terrorist infrastructure across the country," he added.
Commenting on the current political situation in Afghanistan, the adviser reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the Afghan peace process and reiterated its belief in an Afghan-led and Afghan-owed peace process.
During a meeting with Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Afghanistan, Tadamichi Yamamoto, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi on Monday also expressed confidence that talks with Taliban would soon resume.

Further, he expressed deep concern for the increasing threats to regional peace and stability in the Middle East and requested all members of ASEAN to support Pakistan's case for Full Dialogue Partnership.
