Cristiano Ronaldo gifts his super-agent Greek island as best man

It is unclear which island the 30-year-old bought, but the price is reported to be from £2.11m to £35.1m

He might be considered to be the best man on field for any team but during super-agent Jorge Mendes’ wedding on Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo, acting as his best man and gave the 49-year-old a gift to remember.

If the reports appearing in Portuguese newspaper Record are to be believed, Ronaldo bought the couple a whole Greek island.

Mendes is considered one of the most powerful men in football and has Jose Mourinho, Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few on his clientele list. He has been accredited with breaking more than £1billion of transfer deals.

His wife Sandra was welcomed by 400 guests in the affluent Foz do Douro neighbourhood of Porto, with Real Madrid superstar serving as his best man.

It is unclear which island the 30-year-old bought, but with prices coming in at anything from £2.11m to £35.1m it certainly did not come cheap.
