Promoting tolerance: Panel to counter sectarianism
Teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are organized in regional national and international language

The National Committee on Sectarian Harmony of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony will soon start working to control sectarianism and promote tolerance among the public. The government has been taking several steps to control sectarianism as the Ministry has regularly been organising a National Seerat Conference on 12th Rabiul Awwal every year at Islamabad, where prominent ulema, mashaikh, scholars and people from all walks of life participate, an official in the Ministry told APP. He said that competitions of seerat books, naat and articles on life, teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are organized in regional, national and international languages. Maqalat-e-Seerat are published and distributed amongst the libraries, institutions and desiring persons.
