LAHORE:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Hamid Khan strongly criticised the policies of his party on Saturday, saying the ‘cronies’ of military dictators had joined PTI.

According to a television channel, PTI workers voiced complaints in meeting presided over by Hamid Khan. In response to the complaints, Hamid said both honest PTI workers and the masses of the country were disappointed to see party chief Imran Khan surrounded by ‘used cartridges’ – a term he used to refer to politicians who had supported military rule in the past. He said such members were obstructing the path for those genuinely loyal to the PTI, adding that they are a great threat to the party.

Hamid said PTI and conventional politics could not go hand in hand. He added that a ‘qabza mafia’ was trying to overwhelm sincere PTI leaders and hijack the party. Terming the verdict of the judicial commission a great blow for the PTI, Hamid said the party would not have been dealt it had Imran Khan listened to PTI leaders with legal expertise.
