Local Govt Polls: ECP appoints returning officers
The commission has appointed 34 ROs and 68 AROs for holding the elections in 274 union councils (UCs) of Lahore
LAHORE:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has appointed the district returning officer, returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs) for local government Elections in Lahore. Peshawar Regional Election Commissioner Pir Maqbood Ahmed has been appointed Lahore district returning officer, according to an ECP notification. The commission has appointed 34 ROs and 68 AROs for holding the elections in 274 union councils (UCs) of Lahore. The commission has put a bar on the transfer of these officers without its approval, says the notification.
