Treason: FIR sought against Altaf Hussain

Syed Mujtaba Haider told the court the MQM chief had delivered speeches against Pakistan Army

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Lytton Road SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a treason case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain and some other leaders of his party for delivering speeches against Pakistan Army. Syed Mujtaba Haider told the court the MQM chief had delivered speeches against Pakistan Army after it started Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. He quoted MQM chief’s speeches delivered on March 11, April 29 and July 12 against the military, Rangers, police, intelligence agencies, including the Inter-Services Intelligence, and some law enforcement agencies. Haider submitted that the MQM chief and his party leaders had joined hands with India’s Research and Analysis Wing… to destabilise Pakistan. He requested the court to direct the police officials concerned to register an FIR against the MQM chief and his colleagues.
