Petty issue: Man shot, injured by drug peddler

The police have registered a case against the suspected drug trafficker

ISLAMABAD: A man has allegedly been shot and injured by a drug peddler in the Golra area. Muhammad Sajjad Abbasi in his statement told the local police that Muhammad Fayyaz alias Bilo opened fire on him while he was sitting outside his house. Fayyaz said that he had forbid Bilo from selling hashish in Mohalla Pirian Wala a few days back. According to the complainant, the alleged drug peddler had threatened him of dire consequences when he was asked to stop dealing in the illegal business. According to the complainant, Bilo fled after injuring him. The police have registered a case against the suspected drug trafficker, however, no arrest had been made till the filing of this report. Further investigation is under way, said a police official.
