Violation of law: Commissioner condemns high fares

KARACHI:

Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui directed action against transporters overcharging their passengers on Thursday.

After Eidul Fitr, a meeting will be held to formulate a strategy on transport fares, he said. The Regional Transport Authority secretary claimed to have given violation tickets to 120 large and small vehicles and recovered Rs264,000.
