MIRPURKHAS: A medical report, regarding the murders of three young girls by their father in the name of religion, was issued on Sunday, a month after the incident.

The girls were first drugged with opium after which they were slaughtered with sharp instuments, Dr Pratab, the head of the medical board at the Rural Health Centre, Mirwah Gorchani, revealed after carrying out the post mortems. The father, Pandit Teekam Das, had then ordered his wife, Shreemati Bhaawi, to kill him to please the Hindu goddess Kaali Maata, Bhaawi had confessed earlier, after which she was taken in judicial remand.

Dr Pratab said, however, that three separate fingerprints had been found on the murder weapons. While two of the prints are believed to be of Das and his wife, the third print has yet to be identified.
