Traffic Management: ‘Traffic teams deployed at Lorry Adda’

LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Tayyab Hafeez Cheema said on Tuesday that additional special squads had been deployed at Lorry Adda and other bus stations in the city in order to avoid a traffic mess ahead of Eid holidays. He was meeting with SPs and DSPs from traffic police. The CTO said that traffic officials had also been tasked with taking action against those parking their vehicles in a violation of rules. He urged traders to cooperate with traffic police in this regard. Cheema said DSPs would monitor traffic arrangements and patrol on various city roads. He appealed to the traders of Anarkali, Shadman, Model Town, Link Road, Defence, Barkat, Ichhra, Saddar and Cantt markets to remove encroachments in their areas.
