PABBI:

The fifth death anniversary of Mian Rashid Hussain, son of Awami National Party leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain, was observed in Pabbi Bazaar on Tuesday.

A large number of people and elders of the area participated in the Quran Khawani. Mian Rashid Hussain was the only son of the ANP central general secretary. He was shot dead by militants in July 2010 in Pabbi.

While talking to the media, Mian Iftikhar said he has sacrificed a lot for the sake of the country, and so did his son. He said he will never give up on working for peace in the entire region.

Mian Iftikhar asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to cast aside all its differences with ANP, and work towards establishing peace and security in the country, especially in K-P. He asked the provincial government to support security forces in its operation against the militants.
