For the first time in the history of the Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB), 12 elected members took oath on Monday after which Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Raja Irfan Imtiaz was appointed as the board’s vice-president. Station Commander Brig Zahid Ahmad Rana took the oath from the new members at a ceremony which was attended by PML-N Member National Assembly from Rawalpindi’s NA-54 constituency Malik Ibrar and other politicians and CCB officials. The Chaklala board was carved out of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board in February 2003 and made a separate entity.
