‘Controversial Decision’: Taj Haider to move SC for child’s custody

ISLAMABAD: Senator Taj Haider plans to move the Supreme Court against the decision of Child Protection Court (CPC) for custody of a four-year-old girl. Veteran PPP leader Senator Taj Haider and his wife Naheed Wasi lost claim for custody of a baby girl. The couple claims this to be a controversial decision by the CPC. Haider and his wife told reporters on Friday that the recently set up CPC handed over Wajiha, who is now 4, to a couple from Gujranwala without going through a DNA test. Their daughter who was of the same age had been missing.  The senator and his wife had moved an application with the special court to receive custody of Wajiha in February 2014.
