At long last: Minister opens work on girls’ college

Barrister Usman Ibrahim directed the relevant departments to complete the college’s construction by 2016

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim on Friday unveiled a plaque at the construction site of the Federal Girls College of Home Economics, Management Sciences and Specialised Disciplines in Sector F-11/1. The project had been delayed for long. Ibrahim said the college would add to the array of educational institutes in the capital. “It is a great moment that an independent college of home economics for girls is being established. “Pakistani women are working side by side with men in every field today. It is the government’s responsibility to provide opportunities to girls to develop and enhance their skills, he said. The minister directed the relevant departments to complete the college’s construction by 2016.
