LAHORE:

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered a petitioner to come up with more arguments on the maintainability of his petition seeking a high treason case against former president Asif Ali Zardari for his comments against Pakistan Army.

Advocate Aftab Virk had filed the petition submitting that such comments were not appropriate against the army busy in Operation Zarb-i-Azb. He requested the court to order the former president’s trial under Article 6 of the Constitution.

Justice Shah asked the lawyer to come up with more arguments and adjourned the hearing until July 14.
