Ppp vs pml-n: Tribunal doesn’t buy fake degree claim

Counsel for Mehmood told the court that he had a bachelor’s degree from the PU and showed it to the judge

LAHORE: Election Tribunal Judge Kazim Ali Malik dismissed a petition filed by Pakistan Peoples Party leader Imtiaz Safdar Warraich challenging the authenticity of MNA Tariq Mehmood’s degree. Warraich had said that Mehmood, the winning candidate for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from NA-98, neither had a genuine certificate of matriculation nor an intermediate level degree. Counsel for Mehmood told the court that he had a bachelor’s degree from the Punjab University and showed it to the judge.  The tribunal then dismissed the petition.
