ISLAMABAD:
People staged forceful protests in Srinagar on Friday night against the desecration of the historic Jamia Masjid in the city by Indian troops and police personnel. At around 9:30 pm, people took to streets in Maisuma, GawKadal, Habba Kadal and Basant Bagh areas and staged forceful anti-India demonstrations, KMS reported. Chanting slogans in favour of freedom and against India, the angry protesters pelted stones at the picket of the CRPF near Akhara Building to vent their anger.
