PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police has tabled a management plan with the Home and Tribal Affairs department for re-polls on July 5.

According to the letter, the police suggested setting up a greater number of polling booths to avoid overcrowding and mismanagement. Provision of tents at polling stations and installation of CCTV cameras have also been advised. The home department has been asked to impose Section 144 so processions cannot take place on polling day.

IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has issued a special circular to all DPOs and regional police officers to ensure fool-proof security arrangements on July 5. The officials have been advised to not allow political gatherings in their areas without permission.
