KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court remanded on Friday a Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker to police custody in an explosives case. Suspect Akhtar Hussain was picked up during the March 11 raid at the party headquarters and was subsequently detained for three months. The IO told the court that Hussain was planning a terror activity in the city with his absconding accomplices and had hidden explosive material in a house in Awami Colony, Landhi. The officer pleaded the court grant him custody of the suspect on physical remand for two weeks in order to question him. The court granted his request and directed him to produce a progress report at the next hearing.
