Rafique was speaking at a meeting with DCO Nurul Amin Mengal in the city. He said the government had allocated a sum of Rs166 billion for the health sector in the budget. Rafique said the amount would be increased further to ensure the provision of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the people.
The chief minister’s adviser said the Children Hospital was the second-largest project of its kind in the world. He said the project had no parallel in Asia. Rafique said the hospital would be equipped with state-of-the-art material to ensure the provision of cutting edge healthcare facilities.
DCO Mengal said work on the project was nearing completion. He said the first phase of the hospital would be inaugurated by August 14. DCO Mengal said no stone was being left unturned to quickly complete the hospital.
He said regular inspections were being carried out to monitor progress on the project and ensure use of quality material to construct the complex.
