During his meeting with Mizuno Corporation Representative Director Masaharu Kato and top executives of the company, the ambassador apprised them of the potential of sports goods production in Pakistan.
He explained that skilled workers of Sialkot could adopt Japanese technology to produce Japanese products and stressed that Pakistan could be the best sourcing market for the company.
Speaking on the occasion, Masaharu Kato said his company was looking for different sourcing markets for sports goods and sportswear and Pakistan could likely be one of the future choices.
He promised to send his representatives to Pakistan to study the market potential.
The ambassador also visited the Mizuno Sportology Gallery where he was briefed about the Mizuno technology and registered patents of the company.
The Mizuno Group, comprising Mizuno Corporation and its 13 subsidiaries with a paid-up capital of almost $250 million, is primarily producing golf and other sporting equipment, sportswear and footwear. The group also operates sports facilities, including golf and soccer schools.
