
As many as 20 students injured in the deadly Army Public School attack were shifted to a hospital in Lahore for further medical assistance.
According to a Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa health department official privy to the development, the 20 students were taken to Lahore for further treatment, while others were shifted to Karachi. The students were injured on December 16, 2014 when militants barged into APS Peshawar on Warsak Road and opened indiscriminate fire on students and faculty. The attack resulted in 150 people, mostly schoolchildren, losing their lives.
Immediately after, some of the critically injured were moved to prominent hospitals for further treatment. A student, Ahmed Nawaz, was also sent to London, United Kingdom for treatment.
