KARACHI: Senior journalist, writer and trade unionist Wahid Bashir died on Sunday evening. He was the founder and president of Irtiqa Institue of Social Science and was an active leader of the labour movements of 1963 and 1972. Editor for Al-Fatah magazine, Bashir was also the elected president of the Karachi Union of Journalists. Bashir was also a part of the editorial team of the magazine 'Irtiqa'.
