LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday expressed displeasure with the non-submission of a report about measures taken by the government to control prices of food items. At the previous hearing, the industries secretary had undertaken to submit a comprehensive report. However, he did not appear before the court on Thursday. Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan directed an additional advocate general to ensure the submission of the report on Friday (today). The judge was hearing a public interest litigation petition filed by Advocate Azhar Siddique. The lawyer stated that the government had failed to bring down the prices of food items after the petroleum prices came down.
