ISLAMABAD:
A reentry seminar for 60 exchange students returning from the US was arranged on Wednesday by the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange Study (YES) Program in collaboration with the Society for International Education.
The event was held at the end of a five-day pre-departure orientation for 108 students selected for the 2015-2016 session. The returning students gave presentations on their personal experiences with host families and life in US, providing insights for the outgoing batch.
Suleman Khan, a student placed at North Judson, Indiana, said the experience provided him with an excellent opportunity to learn diversity, hospitality and different cultures.
Students from the 2014-15 batch gave tips on how to make the most of the experience by joining clubs, participating in community services, and actively participating in sports.
Deputy Chief of Mission Thomas Williams welcomed the returning batch and hoped that these students prove to be valuable additions for community development.
