Ramazan Security: Rangers DG meets ulema

The delegation included Mufti Munibur Rehman, Mufti Naeem and Allama Abbas Kumaili

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, director-general Major General Bilal Akbar met a delegation of ulema at the Rangers Headquarters on Wednesday and told them about the decrease in targeted killings and other crimes. The delegation included Mufti Munibur Rehman, Mufti Naeem and Allama Abbas Kumaili. Akbar also urged people to report any illegal activity, such as forced collection of fitrana and zakat during Ramazan, at the Rangers Helpline 1101. He urged the scholars to display exemplary interfaith harmony and solidarity during the holy month. “The Rangers DG assured the scholars of his full support and said that he will not leave any stone unturned for a peaceful passage of Ramazan,” said the spokesperson. The ulema said they fully support Rangers’ action against criminals.
