Stay Requested: Petition against hanging dismissed
According to Lytton Road police, Mukhtar had murdered his daughters in 2004
LAHORE:
A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Monday dismissed a petition for staying the execution of a man, convicted of killing his two daughters. According to Lytton Road police, Mukhtar had murdered his daughters in 2004. He was sentenced to death in 2007. On Monday, Mukhtar’s brother told the court that they were in the process of reconciling with the complainant. Therefore, the hanging should be stopped, he said. However, the bench expressed dissatisfaction with the documents submitted by the petitioner about the agreement with the complainant and dismissed the petition.
