KARACHI:

What caught our eyes in a Farah Talib Aziz campaign yet again was the gorgeous duo of models Meera Ansari and Sana Ansari.

Her latest collection comprises of lighter shades and contemporary silhouettes that add a lot of festivity to the conventional female’s style. “It features this season’s most coveted shades of lavender, tea rose, azure, mint and classic whites that are constructed in classic and contemporary silhouettes to cater to women who prefer a feminine and fresh look for this festive season,” Farah told The Express Tribune.

Farah feels that Eid is the most joyous time of year, centered on reunions, happiness and love therefore one should feel beautiful, comfortable and confident in their special outfits. The designs incorporate intricate embroideries and embellishments with classic embroidery techniques used on soft feminine colours.

“Our brand focuses on enhancing beauty through subtle soft touches rather than bold highlights. The same applies for the faces of our brand who are naturally stunning girls and need soft make-up to enhance their natural features.”

On the choice of selecting these particular models to represent her latest collection, the designer believes that Sana and Meera aren’t only the most beautiful girls in town but also have wonderfully charming and sweet personalities. They are more than gorgeous faces and are highly educated, professional and well spoken, they value family and friendships and have become an integral part of her team.

She further explained, “They bring positivity and vibrancy to our shoots and ultimately our brand. They aren’t just the face of our exclusive designs but they are exactly the kind of women we want wearing our clothes. It’s just a great bonus that they make all our campaigns look absolutely stunning”.

Due to their uncanny resemblance, they are often mistaken as sisters and sometimes twins. It’s hard to believe that they aren’t related. Farah loves the fact that they are so similar, as they help bring out an emotional connection that we wish to communicate through our campaigns, be it sisterly love, the close bond between cousins or best friends, glamming up for Eid festivities or dressing up for weddings. “They have an approachable appeal and easily attainable glamour that a girl aspires for and can actually obtain.”

Farah has also collaborated with LSM fabrics for her recent lawn collection. According to her, their relationship has evolved from colleagues to being treated like part of their family. “We love working together to bring forth the best quality, progressive innovations and unique designs,” she said.
