Five passengers sustained minor injuries when the Quetta-bound Jaffer Express was derailed by an explosion on the railway tracks near Jacobabad on Saturday. A huge explosion took place on the railway tracks near the Jacobabad cattle market at around 5:55am, derailing the locomotive and four coaches of the Jaffer Express. More than 150 feet of the tracks were damaged due to the explosion, while five passengers were also injured.
