KARACHI: The 10th edition of the Telenor Bridal Couture Week (TBCW), considered as a highlight in the world of local fashion, is set to take place. The three-day fashion extravaganza, scheduled to be held from June 5 to 7, will feature 24 presentations by prominent Pakistani designers, including Asifa & Nabeel, Adnan Pardesy, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) and Zainab Chhotani, according to a press release.

The event will also witness celebrities, such as Ahsan Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Aijaz Aslam and Urwa Hocane, sashaying down the ramp. Sabs the Salon will assume the hair and make-up responsibility for the event, while HSY will choreograph and direct the showcase.

This year’s TBCW comes in the wake of its last instalment, which took place in Lahore last year. The event showcased collections by renowned designers, including Umar Sayeed, Tena Durrani, Faraz Manan and Ali Xeeshan. Like previous editions of the event, this year’s showcase will reportedly feature theatrical performances along with a dash of drama and glamour on the ramp.

As The Express Tribune previously reported, last year’s showcase showed great promise, with designers experimenting with fabrics and embellishments. Although TBCW had previously missed the mark when it came to exhibiting relevant collections, the platform seems to be striving to transform into a notable entity. They upped their game with some notably fascinating collections last year. Let’s see what they’ve got to offer this fashion season.
