Targeted attack: Case filed against Hub blast culprits

A case was registered at the Hub police station against the unidentified assailants responsible for the blast that attempted to target President Mamnoon Hussain’s son on Monday.
ASP Hub Zia Mandokhel told The Express Tribune that while no arrest has been made so far, the Hub police has registered a case against the unknown culprits.
The case was registered on behalf of the Hub police as case no 165/015 under section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act as well as the Protection of Pakistan Act.
“We will carry out a search operation in the coming days in suspected areas of Hub to locate the culprits,” ASP Mandokhel said. Other investigations are also under way.
A convoy of vehicles carrying President Mamnoon Hussain’s son was hit by a remote-controlled blast in Hub on Sunday night. As a result of which three people, including a child, were killed and 16 others, including four Karachi police personnel, were injured.
