Yes, it's true! There really are fashion bloggers who charge more than $15,000 for one Instagram post. No, we are not kidding!

This astonishing figure has been revealed by Danielle Bernstein, US-based blogger behind her online diary We Wore What. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, she spoke about how she reaps big money from Instagram as brands contact her to promote their products on her account.

The 22-year-old blogger had 992,000 Instagram followers at the time of the interview, putting her in a position to charge between $5,000 to $15,000 per endorsement depending on the terms of the deal. After the interview, she managed to exceed 1 million followers, which means that her rates would have increased significantly since then.

Her recent sponsored posts include numerous shots for a Lancôme foundation and an endorsement for Virgin Hotels, for which she posted a picture of herself with entrepreneur Richard Branson at the opening of his new hotel in Chicago.

"Last year was definitely my most profitable," she says. "I hate talking about money, but let's just say it's more than I could have ever imagined as a 22 year old. I fully support myself, and it's in the mid-six figures. I save, I invest, I'm trying to be smart about it all and learn as I go."

Even if you don't have as many followers as Danielle, you can still rake in the moolah. Bloggers with 'just' hundreds of thousands of followers can make anywhere from $500 to $5,000 per post.

Of course, this is nothing compared to the kind of money celebrities can pull in due to their social media reach. Kim Kardashian's half-sister Kendall Jenner, for example, can charge anything from $20,000 to $100,000 for modelling branded clothing on her Instagram account, according to The Daily Mail.

Sponsored posts aren't the only way fashion bloggers can rake in the money. Several bloggers can make huge sums by partnering up with companies that collect commissions from retailers when blog posts and pictures successfully induce readers to buy clothes and accessories online.

A report in Texas Monthly revealed some bloggers can make commissions of up to $80,000 a month simply by directing their followers to where they can buy the outfits they show off on Instagram.
