Red bull campus cricket: UCP defeat SC by eight wickets

UCP were given a target of 17 runs as Ali Tipu claimed three scalps

University of Central Punjab (UCP) Lahore defeated Superior College (SC) Gujranwala by eight wickets in the first regional finals of the Red Bull Campus Cricket tournament at the Aligarh Cricket Ground in Lahore on Monday.


Electing to field first, UCP were given a target of 17 runs as Ali Tipu claimed three scalps, while Umair Khitab (21) was the top scorer for SC. In reply, UCP comfortably reached the target with eight wickets to spare as opener Junaid Ali (25) top-scored for the side. Zubair took two wickets for SC.


In the other regional final of the day, Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) Nowshera defeated Hazara University (HU) Abbottabad by four wickets.


HU gave a target of 93 runs which AWKU reached in the 19th over to wrap the tie.
