Raided: Proclaimed offender arrested

He was wanted in multiple cases of terrorism and anti-state activities

HANGU: City police arrested a proclaimed offender during a raid on a house in Karmaywal Kalay Monday morning. He was wanted in multiple cases of terrorism and anti-state activities. Hangu SHO Amjad Hussain said police received intelligence suggesting proclaimed offender Shakir alias Pappu was present at said house. The raid was conducted around 9am. In his bid to escape, Pappu opened fire on the police, injuring police officials Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Siddiqui. Following an hour-long exchange of fire, the culprit was finally arrested. Hussain added a gun, a hand grenade and two dozen cartridges were recovered from Pappu’s possession. Both the injured cops were rushed to the hospital where Amir was said to be in critical condition.
