RAHIM YAR KHAN:

Two children drowned in a drain on Sunday in Prara Shareef.

According to police, Saira, 7, and her brother Arslan, 5, residents of Hansla village, were going to a mosque. “They had to cross a drain on their way to the mosque. They had been using an old electricity pylon as a bridge on the drain.

On Sunday, they lost their balance and fell into the drain,” police said. Their bodies were fished out three hours later.

Separately, a 22-year-old man drowned in a canal on Sunday. Police said Asif, a resident of Jhatki village, was taking a bath in the Mudd Mangla canal when he drowned. The body has been recovered.
