QUETTA: Relatives of Baloch missing persons staged a demonstration in front of the Quetta Press Club on Friday, appealing to international humanitarian organisations to play a role for the safe and early recovery of their loved ones. The demonstration was organised by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, an organisation striving for the recovery of missing persons, to mark the human rights day as black day.

Addressing the protesters, sisters of Zakir Majeed, Safeer Baloch, Sameer Baloch, Maqbool Zafar, Din Mohammad Marri, Chakar Marri and Majeed alleged that their brothers had been whisked away by security forces and brutally treated in illegal torture cells. “If my brother was involved in any kind of offence then he should be tried in court because no constitution allows illegal detentions,” sister of Zakir Majeed said. Majeed went missing last year from Mastung. Chairman of VFBMP, Nassurallah Baloch said the relatives do not demand the release of missing persons but that they should be allowed to resurface and be tried in court.
