QUETTA:

Balochistan High Court (BHC) while expressing concern over no progress regarding the recovery of missing persons in the province on Friday, said that the lives and liberty of these people are at stake.

A bench of the high court comprising Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel and Justice Tahira Safdar passed these remarks while hearing cases regarding missing persons.

The court observed in all the cases regarding missing persons, government authorities come with a plea that the detainees are not in custody of any of the agencies and the police officials are investigating the matter, but no positive progress is observed thereafter.

The court said that in order to resolve the issue, it would be just and proper that the Chief Minister Balochistan arrange a high level meeting with provincial heads of all the agencies to take appropriate steps for the recovery of the detainees and for maintaining of peace at highways.
