Law and order: Constable among 5 killed in Faisalabad

Five people, including a constable, were killed in separate incidents in and around Faisalabad on Sunday and Monday.


Police spokesman Ramazan said Ameer Ali Khan, a constable at Samanabad police station, was on his way to Lundianwala on a motorcycle when two assailants riding a motorcycle opened fired on him near Makuana patrolling post. Ali died in the attack. In Dijkot, Javaid, a resident of Chak 261-RB, was fired to death by his younger brothers Kashif, Waqas and Ashraf over a dispute over irrigation water.

Rehana Bibi, 30, a resident of Bhai Wala Phattak, was stabbed by a neighbour.

Naeem Akhtar, a resident of Chak 562-GB, was shot dead by Shah Saood and Abdul Hameed over a dispute. Nasir, a resident of Makuana, was shot dead by his rival Liaquat Ali.
